G.S. Stothers will be managing the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of the natural smoke ventilation systems for this exciting new development on the Belfast Road, Carrickfergus.

Our top priority is ensuring the safety and well-being of building occupants, especially during fire incidents. That's why our smoke ventilation systems are strategically designed to control the movement of smoke, keeping vital escape routes such as corridors and staircases clear. By facilitating safe and compliant evacuations, our systems provide peace of mind and seamless access for fire services.

For this particular project, the design of the apartments has led us to determine that a natural ventilation system is the most suitable solution. We adhere to British Standard (BS) requirements, which take into account factors like building height and the distance between entrance doors and nearby escape routes. This ensures optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.

Natural ventilation utilises passive forces such as wind speed or pressure differentials to supply fresh air to the building or room. This environmentally friendly approach not only enhances indoor air quality but also contributes to energy efficiency.
